Salute SUN Yoga organized another Yoga wear review. We started in June 2016 and wrapped up a week ago.  – 25 panelists had one year to buy, wear, practice different yoga styles on almost daily basis and choose one that will give them the best feel and performance.
Our Criteria were: comfort/fit, fabric that breathes; price; eco-friendly product and a style. We prefer locally made yoga clothes and although that was not a deal breaker it was important to all of us.

Everybody likes soft, light, breathable fabric that can last and perform well, however we are also looking for apparel that is not expensive. Unfortunately, Yoga clothes are very expensive, probably on a par with tennis and gold gear.

Finding one that has a quality that we want and at the small cost is almost impossible. Only few “names” carry affordable yoga tops and bottoms – Joe Fresh, Old Navy and if you are lucky you can find sometimes good yoga wear on sale.

All the more reason that Oysho Spain was evaluated more than others and is our 2017 Yoga Wear Winner.

We tested 16 producers plus one New to us: ALO from USA and we are happy to say that they have excellent yoga wear.
1. LVR                                                 9. Lolë women
2. Free People                                   10. Athleta

About our Winner – OYSHO

Oysho was created in 2001 in Spain and is present in 44 countries with over 600 stores worldwide, selling online in over 32 markets via its website www.oysho.com
OYSHO strategy is turned toward mass market, women in particular. Alongside their main interest in underwear and lingerie they are immensely successful in producing great Active wear, Swimwear, shoes, bags and accessories. Oysho Active wear has great design, simple, functional, unpretentious and – very affordable!

ONZIE was our second choice – only half a point bellow The Winner. ONZIE’s philosophy is "keep your practice challenging, and your wardrobe simple!"
All their products were made in southern California and that was a great plus! Wardrobe is functional, flexible and flattering; pricier than Oysho’s but still affordable.

Third spot with equal number of points is shared by 6 companies, all excellent but their active clothes are pricier:
Free People with their Bohemian style, Lululemon with almost clinically perfect fit and quality, NUX with amazing design, Hawaiian colorful Lily Lotus with their devotion to eco-friendly materials, Purusha People with their eco friendly yoga wear ‘handmade with love’ by only 2 people and – Athleta – with superb style and – price!

This is the first year that we looked at Plus size yoga lovers and we found few that are offering excellent quality for sizes up to 24: Rainbeau Curves, Lane Bryant, Nola…

Please find some time to look at their websites and purchase some items – I will be happy to hear  what you like and – dislike! This way you might become my future panelist and for the time and work you are doing to help me out you will get a discount at one of the best Yoga wear producers!

Now, back to practice!
Namaste!
