TWO STUDIOS, TWO FRIENDS,
TWO COUNTRIES La Vida Yoga Studio in Belgrade and Salute Sun Yoga Studio in Toronto work together with the same goal: to motivate and inspire students to improve their mental and physical wellness.
Vida (La Vida Yoga) and me, Maya (Salute Sun Yoga) are friends for 40 years. Both so different, yet drawn like magnet to each other with that special energy that flows and links souls. Vida started her Yoga journey first and I followed few years after. Her studio is beautiful and inviting place with such an energy that when you enter, you feel uplifted without even started to practice yoga. I am confident that we inspired each other on our Yoga way and we share our experiences like any “hungry for more” person would do. I had great time practicing yoga in her studio and I know why her students are so devoted to her. Vida is a Master. It is a pleasure to have yoga class with her. As Vanda Scaravelli said –yoga practice should be – freedom. We need to have that permission to follow our own inner teacher; we have to be able to liberate yoga practice from the restriction of rules and traditions. My belief is that we have to listen to our own body, increase our awareness, and – concentrate on Breath and Movement. We want to achieve pose perfection, naturally – without competing with each other, but, in my firm opinion, the goal is to free our busy mind, to let it go… to relax, and to accept ourselves. Being kind to yourself and to each other is my ultimate goal. |
